POST 8: English Language challenges

The English language, I will tell you what I suffered with it.

To begin with, I live in Curacaví, I studied basic education in this town, but in high school I went to study in Santiago. My first English class entered the teacher, and the class was transformed, even the least diligent of my class spoke fluent English, imagine how I felt among all of them.

English has always been difficult for me, I understand it, I can understand what they speak to me and more if it is written, but I cannot speak, it takes me a long time to express an idea. On the other hand, writing takes me time, but despite that I try, especially with these blogs.

Studying English at university and writing these blogs has helped me a lot, I am not an expert, but I have tried it myself and thus I have gained a lot of vocabulary. The dynamics of this level help me not to demotivate myself and learn in a clear and entertaining way.

English in my everyday life? My mom's brother speaks it very fluently and he is always challenging me, I try to answer him as best as possible, but my pronunciation is not the best. Although if I look back a bit, now I dare, and shame does not win me.

It's an everyday challenge, but it can be done.

Greetings and thank you very much.

  1. Hi Almendra! All your blog entries have been checked. I have not marked them as such since blogger.com is making my work a little too difficult by asking me if I’m human or not every time I mark any of your blog entries. So, please rest assured that I have already read all your blog entries and approved all of them as fit and appropriate for this blog activity

    Congrats!
